A dispenser is only as good as the last thing the water passed through before it got there. This filter is made for Frigidaire refrigerators that call for the EPTWFU01, sold interchangeably as ULTRAWF or WF3CB, and it's built to pull chlorine, lead, mercury, and a long list of other contaminants out of the water before it reaches your glass or ice tray.

  • Product Name: Frigidaire EPTWFU01 Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter
  • Fits Filter Codes: EPTWFU01, ULTRAWF, WF3CB
  • Certification: NSF 42 certified
  • Filter Capacity: Rated to 300 gallons
  • Recommended Change Interval: Swap every 6 months
  • Filter Media: Coconut shell carbon
  • Installation: No tools needed, low-profile fit

Special Features

  • Same Part, Different Labels: EPTWFU01, ULTRAWF, and WF3CB all describe the identical housing, so this filter installs wherever any of those three is called for.
  • Built to the Original Footprint: Flow rate and sizing are matched closely enough to the factory EPTWFU01 that fitment isn't an issue.
  • A Practical Way to Save: Going compatible typically costs less than the branded option while keeping the same rated output.
  • Coconut Shell Carbon Does the Work: This filtration media is chosen specifically for pulling chlorine taste, odor, and sediment out of the water.
  • One Filter Covers Ice and Water: On most compatible setups, both the ice maker and the dispenser draw from this same filtered line.
  • Doesn't Take Up Extra Room: The slim housing slides into the existing slot without needing any adjustment to your fridge's layout.

  2. Give the old filter a quarter turn counterclockwise until it pops free.
  3. Pull it out and set it aside.
  4. Pull the protective cap off the new filter before putting it in.
  5. Line the new filter up with the opening and push it into place.
  6. Turn it clockwise until it locks in with a click.
  7. Run 2 to 3 gallons through the dispenser before drinking, which clears trapped air and loose carbon.
