Quick Install: Replace & Reset (1–2 minutes)

Location:

• Classic (BI): Behind the louvered air purification cover, at the upper back of the refrigerator compartment.
  

• Designer (IC/ID/IT): Within the fresh-food compartment adjacent to the upper/rear housing.
  

Actions:

1. Unlock and remove the cover of the air purification housing.
   

2. Rotate the old cartridge counterclockwise and pull straight.
   

3. Ensure the new cartridge is placed correctly, slewing it to the lock position.
   

4. Close the cover to the compartment and secure it.
   

Resetting Filter Indicator for Sub-Zero Air Filters

• For most BI & Designer models: Press and hold “Pure Air” for 5 seconds until the indicator clears.
  

• Touch-control models: Positive Airflow/Reset/Extend and confirm.

Troubleshooting: Blinking, Rattles, Location

The air filter light is blinking after replacement

• Make sure the filter is completely locked.
  

• Reset the system again.
  

• Power cycle the equipment.
  

• Reset again.
  

Rattles, or the sound of vibrating/vibrating

• Open the air purification cover to the filter and double-check that the filter is in place and locked.
  

• Check that the cover is closed tightly. A loose cover can vibrate.
  

• Check that everything is clean on the fan; ensure no fan obstructions.
